Waxing
Zanya Spa Salon may use one of two methods for your service. Your esthetician will determine which method will provide you with optimal results.
French Depilatory Wax
Blue wax is a hard wax used for face, body, and Brazilian waxing. The wax is applied slightly thicker, dries and is peeled away without strips. It is gentle, yet strong, and perfect for sensitive skin.
Soy Based Liquid Hair Remover
Nufree is a soft warm hair remover kept at 98.6 degrees. Used with strips, it is perfect for speed waxing techniques. It has a creamy texture and is antibacterial and antimicrobial. This botanical product is wax and honey free, clean and germ free, and is safe for the entire body.
Please let your esthetician know if you are using Retin-A, Renova, Accutane or are taking any antibiotics as these can adversely affect the way your body responds to waxing.

Eyebrow: Brows are lightly combed and may be trimmed before shaping. Brows will be shaped by waxing from underneath the brows, in the center of the brows, and above the brows if needed. We take into account how each client prefers to have their brows shaped.
Cheek: The client holds her hair out of the way and indicates the point (usually near the ear) where she would like the hair removed.
Lip: The hair from the upper lip is removed.
Chin: The hair on the chin and beneath the chin is removed.
Shoulders: The hair on the shoulders and the sides of the neck is removed.
Back: Including the upper and lower back with special attention to any patches of hair that are along the sides of the back. Attention is given to the shoulders and top of the arms as well.
Chest: Please trim chest hair if it is long and puffy. If you have shaved it, you will need to let it grow for 14 days or until the hair is long enough to lie down on the skin before it can be waxed.
Upper Arm: Removes hair from the upper part of the arm above the elbow to near the shoulder.
Lower Arm: Removes hair from the forearm and around the elbow. Hands are included.
Full Arm: Removes hair from the forearm, around the elbow and the upper part of the arm nearing the shoulders. Hands are included.
Underarm: If underarm area has been recently shaved, you may need to allow hair to grow for 14 days or until the hair is long enough to lie down on the skin, in order for it to be waxed.
Stomach: Removes hair from the abdominal region, above and below the naval.
Stomach Line: Removes the line of hair from the naval down to where the top of the bikini line begins.
Upper Leg: Starting two inches away from the bikini line, hair is removed from the front and back of the thighs. The waxing stops at the lower end of the knee.
Lower Leg: Starting at the top portion of the knee, hair is removed from the front and back of the lower legs. Feet are included.
Full Leg: Starting two inches away from the bikini line, hair is removed from the front and back of thighs, knees, and lower legs. Feet are included.
Buttocks: The hair on and between the cheeks is removed.
Bikini Wax Preparation
The hair must be between ¼ of an inch to ½ inch, or long enough to lie down on the skin. It can’t be stubbly or long and puffy. If it is any longer than ½ of an inch, please trim the hair. Do not schedule any waxing during your period, after consuming caffeine, if you are taking any oral medications for acne or antibiotics for a cold.
A Full Brazilian wax refers to a first time client coming for a Brazilian Wax. Your esthetician will remove all of the hair from the front of the bikini area, as well as the sides of the bikini line, the inner and outer labia, and between the buttocks. You have the option to leave a small vertical strip in the front if you choose.
NOTE: If you have received Brazilian waxes before, but have not had one for 6 weeks or more, you must schedule another FULL Brazilian Wax for $75. If you come back within 6 weeks, you can schedule a Maintenance Brazilian.
Maintenance Brazilian Wax
If you would like to have a Brazilian Wax, but you have never been to Zanya Spa Salon, then you need to schedule a FULL Brazilian Wax first. A Maintenance Brazilian wax is for Zanya Spa Salon’s repeat client who returns for her routine wax within 3-6 weeks of her last appointment. We remove all of the hair from the front of the bikini area, as well as the sides of the bikini line, the inner and outer labia, and in between the buttocks. You have the option to leave a small vertical strip in the front if you choose. $70.
Hollywood Bikini
A Hollywood bikini wax removes a large portion of hair from the top of the bikini line, as well as the sides of the bikini line and in between the buttocks. We do not remove the hair from the outer or inner labia. A very small patch of hair is left in the front.
An Island bikini wax removes a portion of the hair from the top of the bikini line. The sides of the bikini line are waxed about 1 ½ inches inward from the inguinal/groin line. A small portion of hair is removed from the sides of the outer labia. We do not remove hair from the inner labia or in between the buttocks.
This is a traditional bikini wax that removes hair about 2 inches outward from the inguinal/groin line.
Post Waxing Care
Don’t use your shower puff, loofah, or any exfoliating product for at least 3 days. Avoid self tanner for one week. If you come in contact with direct sunlight, including a tanning booth, please use an SPF of 45 or higher.
